Step 1: Check the NFC sticker on your filament spool
Before inserting your filament into the Da Vinci miniMaker, please check whether your filament spool is equipped with the old NFC chip or the new NFC sticker. The new NFC sticker is a circular black label inside the white spool holder within the filament roll.
Step 2: Remove the new NFC sticker
Carefully remove the NFC sticker from the filament spool. Make sure to completely detach the sticker to avoid any issues with filament detection.
Step 3: Select the correct filament profile in the slicer
Once you have removed the NFC sticker, you can select the appropriate filament profile in the slicer. Ensure that you choose the correct profile for the filament being used to guarantee a successful filament loading process.
Step 4: Insert the filament spool
Place the prepared filament spool, now without the NFC sticker, into the Da Vinci miniMaker. Make sure the filament is correctly fed into the loading mechanism.
Step 5: Check filament detection
Turn on the Da Vinci miniMaker and verify whether the filament is successfully loaded.
Note: If you continue experiencing issues with filament detection or receive error messages when inserting the filament spool, double-check that the NFC sticker has been completely removed and repeat the steps if necessary.
By following these simple steps, XYZ filament spools with new NFC stickers should work smoothly in the Da Vinci miniMaker without any issues.
